Uhuru has directed Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, to investigate the matter and ensure culprits are brought to book.

In a statement, Uhuru warned politicians from Laikipia against encouraging invasions of private property or attacks on individuals.

Gallman was shot in the stomach by raiders early on Sunday and she was airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment.

Last month raiders shot dead Sosian ranch co-owner Tristan Voorspuy in Laikipia after they invaded the ranch in search of pasture.
