Former Nairobi City boss Evans Kidero and former Kakamega Senator Bony Khalwale are among the opposition allies who have been considered for inclusion in Uhuru's cabinet, the-star confirmsThe two are great government antagonists but have been shortlisted to give the cabinet a national outlook. Women who have also been considered inclusive in President Kenyatta's cabinet include former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Olive Mugenda, former head of the Salaries and Renumeration Commission Sarah Serem and former Teso South MP Mary Emase. Odinga's close ally and former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo was also considered inclusive in the cabinet.According to the-star, the opposition has raised questions in Uhuru's new cabinet appointments suspecting that it is a strategy by Jubilee to shake NASA support base.Midiwo's consideration into the cabinet comes after the Kenya National Examination Council chairman Professor George Magoha turned down offers to succeed Dr. Fred Matiang'i at the Ministry of Education and Cleopa Mailu of health. Former Kakamega county senator Bony Khalwale revealed that he had been approached by the Jubilee government to work together but he declined the offer. “I took my position. We may not be in government but we are not desperate. We made a very big step on October 26 when we (Luhya) gave Jubilee only 5 per cent of the vote.” Khalwale said as quoted by the-star. On Friday last week, Uhuru retained six Cabinet Secretaries and nominated three others in his first list, promised to name the rest soon.
