President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged a group of Kisii professionals who spearheaded his campaigns in the region during the August polls to drum up support for his candidature again during the upcoming repeat polls.
Speaking on Tuesday, the Head of State credited the group for the impressive performance of Jubilee Party in the region which is largely perceived to be a NASA stronghold.
"Thank you very much for campaigning for us. We know a lot of your effort went into the good performance we registered in Kisii and Nyamira," he said.
President Kenyatta further maintained his stance on the Supreme Court, observing that he respected its ruling.
His reelection victory was nullified by the apex court earlier in the month, and IEBC directed to conduct fresh presidential elections.
The electoral agency has since slated the polls for October 26.
