President Kenyatta maintained that the re-run will be conducted by the current IEBC.
On Friday, after the Supreme Court nullified Uhuru’s win, the petitioner NASA stated that they had no confidence in IEBC and therefore International bodies should be allowed to conduct the polls.
“We have heard they want other people or organisations to preside over the repeat polls but that cannot happen,” he said.
President Uhuru was speaking during a rally in Nakuru where he was accompanied by Deputy William Ruto and a host of other Jubilee leaders.
On his part, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen urged IEBC to conduct the polls in the next four months so that the country can move forward.
