A section of youths leaning to outlawed National resistance Movement have warned President Uhuru Kenyatta against arrested Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
Last week, Arati had his firearm license revoked before it was reinstated through a court order as crackdown on opposition leaders continue.
Led by NRM Nyamira chapter leader Beavon Magare, they insisted that Arati remains a de facto spokesman for Abagusii community.
"As NRM foot soldiers, we condemn the ongoing arbitrary arrests targeting our leaders across the country," he said.
The firebrand youth leader added: "He (Uhuru) should respect the law. If he thinks he can go overboard, we challenge him to arrest Arati."
Widely popular among ODM supporters, Arati is making significant political progress in his ancestral Gusii land.
So far, he is the only ODM elected MP from Gusii community and is substantially popular in Nairobi City politics.
