President Uhuru Kenyatta has defended his track record for the past four and half years that he has been in office.

“We promised Kenyans many things; the first one was a promise to free maternal healthcare. Today, more than three times of our mothers can afford to deliver in hospitals,” he said.

Speaking on Monday during the launch of the Jubilee Party manifesto, the Head of State noted that he had delivered on key pledges made to the country in the run up to the 2013 general elections, calling on Kenyans to reelect him during the forthcoming polls.

He cited improved maternal health care, the Standard Gauge Railway, improved road network and electricity connection as some of his key achievements.

“We also started Huduma centres and Kenyans can now access all Government services in whichever part of the country they are,” he noted.

“I am here to ask for another term. I have the right because we have shown the will. I have the right because we have achieved a lot. I have the right because even what we have not done we will achieve,” he added.
