The head of state, who was speaking during a vote hunt mission in Bungoma County, said that his government has offered jobs to all communities including Luos, Luhya, and Kambas among others making up the opposition after ascending to power in 2013.
“Aden Duale, a Somali, is the Majority Leader in the National Assembly. Raychelle Omamo, who is Raila’s neighbour in Bondo, is heading the Ministry of Defence. Judy Wakhungu, a Luhya, is in charge of our environment and we also have Eugene Wamalwa. Are all these Kikuyus?” He posed, as quoted by Standard.
Uhuru also promised to resettle all the displaced persons as soon as possible. The Head of State further launched a scathing attack on Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula for defending his seat in the August polls.
Uhuru said that it is clear Wetangula and other leaders aligned to the National Super Alliance (NASA) have sensed defeat and that is why they are defending their posts in August. Bomet governor Isaac Ruto, also Chama Cha Mashinani Leader, is also defending his post in the upcoming general elections.
