Kisii county Members of county assembly (MCAs) have defended their State House visit today (Thursday).
Speaking to journalist on Wednesday in Kisii town MCAs led by Bokimonge MCA George Bibao said their visit to State House is to ask for more development from national government and not brown envelopes.
“We are the one who asked for an appointment and not Uhuru Kenyatta who invited us because we need more development in our county,” said Bibao.
“When we visit State House it does not mean we want to join Jubilee but all MCAs in Kisii County and the speaker are going to meet the president of the republic of Kenya to share on development issues,” he added.
He also said those MCAs who are ready to join Jubilee party may join and nobody will hinder them but is not a must for every MCA in Kisii county to join the government.
