President Uhuru Kenyatta has severely criticized the National Super Alliance (NASA) under the leadership of Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga and Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, accusing them of making false promises to the people of this nation.
The head of state, who was speaking in Mombasa County on Wednesday during the launch of Changamwe-Mariakani dual carriageway, said that the two leaders have been in power for decades but they did nothing yet they promise Kenyans change.
He rubbished oppositions slogan; Ati vindu vinchenjaga(things change) “Ati vindu vinchenjaga. Chenjaga nini? Wakwende, waache maneno yao (They claim things are changing. Changing on what? Let them go away. They should stop saying that),” said Uhuru.
He also said that Kalonzo and Raila are leading a team of story tellers without an idea on how to transform the lives of wananchi if they ascend to power.
“We are not storytellers. Storytellers are those who have been in government, some for more than 35 years, yet today they tell us mabadiliko (change) on their posters. What change takes us back when we want to move forward?”
The remarks of the president come at a time when both Jubilee and NASA have intensified their campaigns in different parts of the nation.
