The proposed changes to the election laws are to benefit the National Super Alliance (NASA), President Uhuru Kenyatta has said.The Head of State said the opposition alliance led by Raila Odinga should support the amendments because they seek to make manual tallying and transmission of results superior to the electronic system.Raila has maintained that the results were rigged in favour of Jubilee, terming President Kenyatta and DP Ruto 'computer-generated leaders'."Because he (Raila) said we stole the election using computers, surely will this not help him? Kenyatta posed during a meeting with Jubilee women leaders at State House, Nairobi, Monday.Uhuru told NASA to abandon mass protests and accept the full decision of the Supreme Court which ordered a fresh poll within 60 days."Instead of misusing our youth in Nairobi and other towns, Opposition leaders should take whatever grievances they have against the IEBC and other laws to Parliament," he remarked.Raila and his troops have threatened to boycott the repeat poll if the electoral agency does not meet what they have termed as 'irreducible minimums'.They demand the sacking of senior officials including CEO Ezra Chiloba.
