President Uhuru Kenyatta, is scheduled to attend the inaugurations of Nairobi Governor-elect Mike Sonko and his Bomet County counterpart, Joyce Laboso.
Both are first-term Jubilee Party governors, who trounced their opponents, Evans Kidero and Isaac Ruto, respectively, to clinch the top county seats.
Laboso who is the outgoing Sotik MP, promised water and electricity, health facilities, and higher prices for tea farmers and all of Bomet residents, during her campaigns.
Sonko promised lower taxes and fees for Nairobi, new houses, and free medical care for all who live in the city.
Their inauguration, will see them take oath of office, Monday, at the Bomet Green Stadium and Uhuru Park, respectively.
