President Uhuru Kenyatta will be part of the 43rd Group of Seven (G7) Summit next week in Taormina, Italy.
Kenya is among four African states invited to the summit.
Kenya will be joined by Ethiopia, Tunisia and Nigeria from Africa.
Speaking on Sunday, State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu said that President Kenyatta is expected to make an address during the summit which will run from May 26 to 27 whose theme is, “Building the Foundations of Renewed Trust.”
“The President has been invited to speak specifically on the timelines and challenges brought about by innovation as a factor of economic growth and development on the African continent,” Esipisu said.
The G7 comprises Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The countries represent over 60 per cent of the global net wealth.
