To reach the finals, the senators had thrashed governors 5 - 0 in the preliminaries while the County Assemblies Forum team edged out Ugatuzi FC 2 - 1.
Senate striker and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was the toast of the tournament with measured touches and fine ball control only rivaled by international players.
Despite loosing the match, the ethal striking partnership of Kipchumba Murkomen, speaker Ken Lusaka and host senator Cleophas Malala tormented the assemblies back line for the entire match.
