President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto are set to receive more defectors from the opposition National Super Alliance (Nasa) on Monday.
This follows Sunday defection by former Wiper Secretary-General Hassan Omar to the ruling coalition.
Omar had vied for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat where he lost to ODM’s Hassan Joho who retained the seat.
President Uhuru is expected to meet political leaders from the region at Serani grounds in Mombasa as they continue with their three-day tour of the Coast.
A number of Coast leaders have defected from the opposition to NASA.
Key among them being Kwale governor Salim Mvurya.
