President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga wants to rise to power unconstitutional. According to Uhuru, Raila has hatched a plan to ensure that he becomes the next head of state without the support of the Kenyan people.
He stated that Raila and other leaders of the opposition thought that he will not accept the verdict of the Supreme Court. This is after the court under the leadership of Chief David Maraga nullified his win.
“That Mzee thought we wouldn’t accept the Supreme Court ruling. He expected chaos and bloodshed to get a share of government,” he said in Laare market, Igembe North, during a rally, as quoted by Star.
The President also thanked voters from this part of the nation for supporting him during the last general elections. He further urged them to turn out in large numbers to re-elect him come October 26.
Uhuru further assured them that the government is committed to ensuring that the residents are living in a secure environment.
“On the issue of insecurity, we sat down with your leaders and up to now we have deployed 100 Administration Police,” he added.
