President Uhuru Kenyatta has dismissed former Kilome Member of Parliament Harun Mwau's election petition saying his itt holds no water and it is meant to waste Supreme Court's time.

In his affidavit, President Kenyatta argues that the IEBC acknowledges that he was validly nominated and that Mwau's claims are grounded on misunderstanding of the law.

''The petitioner's allegations are just hot-air and misunderstanding of what constitute a fresh presidential election.Even in the unlikely event that his allegations were to be proved, they cannot justify nullification of a presidential election,''Uhuru says on his affidavit.

He says it would be unfair to him to have his win invalidated the second time on such flimsy grounds of IEBC's failure to conduct  nominations, yet he had met all the requirement demanded.

'' There was one legal  nomination of presidential candidates which happened in May,and I was among those who met the requirement and subsequently participated in the August 8 election. There was no other nomination which was required,''he pose.

Mr. Mwau went to Court seeking to nullify the October 26 repeat presidential election on grounds that the IEBC failed to conduct fresh nomination for candidates before gazetting the names and went ahead with the election.
