The leaders have issued Jubilee an ultimatum to address their grievances or else they will take an action.
According to the local daily 190 officials from Mount Kenya region have threatened to leave the party before the August election date. The leaders have faulted Jubilee secretariat Raphael Tuju for allegedly micromanaging the affairs of the party.
The leaders argue that Tuju is likely to cost President Uhuru Kenyatta. The group’s Chairman Alhaji Mwendia, who spoke to the press, cautioned Jubilee’s top brass against interfering with the affairs of the party.
“Some people have been coming to the county purporting to be conducting presidential campaigns but we don’t know who they are. Any presidential coordination effort should be within the branch executive committee,” he said.
Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta has come out in defense of the maize importation saga while accusing the opposition of propaganda as we head to the polls.
