Onyonka observed that the President's order went against the spirit and constitutional provision on the separation of power between the three arms of Government.

Speaking in Kisii town, the legislator challenged Uhuru to respect other arms of Government while discharging his duties as the President.

"The President's executive order directing the Inspector General of Police to ensure 10,000 new police recruits whose recruitment was contested in court resume training went against the provisions of law and the constitutional spirit on the separation of powers between the three arms of Government," stated Onyonka.

He added that though the President's order was timely based on terror attacks facing the country that alone cannot give him a window to overrule court decisions on the case challenging the process of recruiting of the 10,000 new police recruits before the case is determined.
