The former Vice President, who was responding to the snubbing of Raila during Madaraka day, said that its unfortunate for Uhuru to have ignored the opposition leader.

“Failing to recognise him was wrong. It appears Jubilee is afraid of him,” Mr Musyoka said, as quoted by Nation.

The action of Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto not to recognize the presence of Raila during the national function has continued to attract mixed reactions from different factions as we head to the polls.

On his part, Raila has maintained that he will not give up until the two leaders vacate power in the August polls. The opposition leader has maintained that Jubilee does not deserve another term.

Speaking during NASA rally in Bukhungu Stadium, Raila asked Kenyans to back his quest to rise to power.

“Kenyans should punish Jubilee by sending President Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto packing for not fulfilling promises they made before taking power in 2013,” he said. His remarks were reiterated by other principals of the alliance as they drum up support in this part of the nation.
