Barely a day before President Uhuru Kenyatta’s maiden tour to Nyamira County on Tuesday, fresh detail have emerged how elected MPs were sidelined from the Presidnet’s functions.
Uhuru is set to inspect Chepilat-Chabera road, Kemera-Amabuko and reopening of a dormitory named after him at Nyambaria High School.
In the course of his tour, Kenyatta will traverse Borabu, North Mugirango and Kitutu Masaba constituencies.
But Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba) has questioned the motive of the President’s handler to ensure elected leaders who are opposed to Jubilee administration.
“I am in Canada on official PAC business only to learn that the president will be in my constituency,” said Bosire, who also doubles as ODM national treasurer.
The outspoken MP added: “He is free to visit any part of the country but only fair to respect and inform area elected leaders more so on matters development. He should not always fear.”
Noticeably, Bosire at one point defied Kenyatta’s order in parliament during commemoration of Kenyan soldiers who had died in Somalia in 2016.
With the region being predominantly ODM, it is also understood that James Gesami (West Mugirango), Charles Geni (North Mugirango) and Alice Chae (Nyamira County) will not be among the attendees.
However, it is not clear whether Governor John Nyagarama will be attending the public rally at Magombo market.
