Uhuru while speaking at State House Nairobi stated that, this was the justification why together with his deputy, they were rooting for dissolution of all affiliate parties under the Jubilee coalition in order to form one outfit that will have a national outlook.

Uhuru made the remarks when he met 87 Members of County Assembly drawn from Kisii and Nyamira in a session that was attended by his deputy William Ruto.

Ruto echoed Uhuru's sentiments saying that it was time to end tribalism that has affected the country in a long time.

Some of the parties that have already agreed to be part of the larger Jubilee Party include; the DP’s United Republic Party (URP),The National Alliance (TNA) and New Ford Kenya.

However, Party of National Unity members  who formed the coalition have refused to dissolve the outfit maintaining that it will be better to head into the next general election without partners.

Peter Munya who is PNU's leader has alleged that Jubilee was being dictatorial in trying to force other parties into dissolution
