Suna East MP Junet Mohammed claims that Jubilee administration is silently backing pollsters Ipsos-Synovate to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advantage.
On Sunday, the Research firm placed Kenyatta at pole position to win August elections, giving him 47 percent popularity to Raila Odinga’s 43 percent.
And in a quick rejoinder, Junet accused Tom Wolf of working in cohorts with Jubilee administration to mislead Kenyans using opinion polls.
“Synovate is a company funded by Jubilee and that is a fact. They cook figures that are preference to Uhuru’s favour contrary to the opinion of Kenyans.
“They are rogue researchers who depend on handouts. We call upon Kenyans to reject such people who are out to spread negative information,” he said.
On the country, another research team, Infrotrack, released a parallel opinion poll that placed Odinga on top with 47 percent to Uhuru’s 46 percent.
The two political protagonists are due to face each other in a fortnight with each team confident of a resounding victory.
