Kiogoro MCA Samuel Onkwani who accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of smoking bhang in 2013 has been forgiven after a section of Kisii leaders visited State House and showered praises to the Head of State.
In August 2013, Mr Onkwani was quoted as saying in reference to the president: "Those close to President Uhuru Kenyatta should advise him to stop smoking bhang."
MCAs however, who were part of the delegation that visited State House sang praise songs to the Head of State prompting him to forgive the MCA.
According to the Kisii leaders, the president and his deputy are the only people who can be entrusted with the leadership of the country.
It was during the meeting that Uhuru confessed that he had forgiven Onkwani for the offensive words he used against him and that his forgiveness was unconditional.
During the meeting, the president stressed his desire to work with leaders across the country irrespective of their political affiliation for the benefit of all Kenyans.
"I am convinced that majority of Kenyans want peace, stability, development and unity. This is why as leaders, we must walk the path that will unite the country," President Kenyatta said.
