When 29-year-old Elijah Muraguri breached protocol to have  President Uhuru Kenyatta's attention, he never thought that their 'meeting' would pay off.He went against the odds and delivered a handwritten note to the President during Matiba-'s funeral service at Ihura in Murang’a.

On April 26, Muraguri managed to beat the presidential security personnel in their own game accessing the highly guarded dais and handed over a note to President Kenyatta before he was whisked away by the heavily built and armed guards.Mr.Muraguri walked from the back and reached where Kenyatta sat and handed over the letter seeking for financial assistance of Sh 880,000.

On Monday, while going about his day-to-day activities, he received a call from State House operatives asking him to head to Murang’a County Commissioner’s office where the vehicle was presented.

Muraguri has disclosed that he has been looking for opportunity to reach Kenyatta in the past two year in vain but Ihura turned out to be the  the best place.Muraguri who hails from Nyeri county,adding that he has never been to Murang'a and just asked his way around to reach the venue.

Muraguri has revealed that he will remain will always remain grateful to the President Kenyatta for having come to my rescue by buying a vehicle that will help me venture into public transport business.
