President Uhuru Kenyatta has gifted residents of Vihigacounty by commissioning a hospital.
Speaking during the commissioning of Jumuia Friends Hospital in Kaimosi, President Uhuru Kenyatta promised to ensure expansion of health infrastructure and power supply in the county.
Vihiga is ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi's home turf and the recent mopve by the president is perceived as aimed at getting the county from the kingpin's hold.
Kenyatta’s Sunday visit to the county came a day after NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula had on Saturday taken their campaigns to the five constituencies in the region and predicted a landslide win for the coalition in the August 8 polls.
