President Uhuru Kenyatta has given foreign and local exporters a reason to smile, after he promised the 50% discount if they use the upgraded inland depot of Nairobi.
''To support all our exporters, local and regional, we will offer 50% discount for transporting goods from the Nairobi inland container depot and the Mombasa Port,'' President Uhuru Kenyatta said, according to the Sunday Nation. The president spoke yesterday in Embakasi during the unveiling of the upgraded port.He asked the Ministry of Transport to address the logistical challenges experienced at the Port of Mombasa.President Kenyatta said the upgraded port would unlock solutions to some of the transport issues the country is grappling with.
