President Uhuru Kenyatta has given Hellen Nkaissery a top job, following the sudden death of the Interior cabinet secretary. In a move seen as honoring Joseph Nkaissery, who died of a rare toe of heart attack just over a week ago, President Kenyatta has appointed Ms Nkaissery to chair a Jubilee government initiative meant to empower women from pastoral communities to earn an income from art work. Hellen Nkaissery will now be the head of Ushanga Kenya Initiative Steering Committee, which was set up by the Ministry of Tourism to diversify product offerings. Nkaissery, who collapsed and died on July 8, was laid to rest yesterday at his home in Bisil, Kajiado County.
