NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi is upbeat the coalition's presidential candidate Raila Odinga will trounce President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls.

According to Mudavadi, Uhuru has only 10 days left to live in State House before he vacates, adding that he should be ready to hand over instruments of power to Raila, the Star has reported.

"Uhuru has only 10 days to dance in State House. Deputy President William Ruto should start preparing to go back to Sugoi," said Mudavadi on Friday.

He at the same time urged teachers in the country to rally behind their union leaders Wilson Sossion of Knut and Kuppet’s Omboko Milemba who are backing the Opposition.

"Every teacher has at least 10 family members...that means four million will take Jubilee home," he added during a campaign tour in Busia.

He rallied the county residents to turn up in large numbers and vote for NASA candidates instead of fleeing the regions where they registered as voters.

The ANC leader said security will be tightened during the polls to ensure Kenyans peacefully participate in the exercise.

He said most of the one million undecided voters are from Western hence the need to turn up emasse to defeat the notion that Luhyas are not keen on taking part in polls.

"Only 60 per cent of Western community members vote during every general election, compared to other areas where the vote is overwhelming," he said when he and other leaders drummed up support for candidates for parties affiliated to NASA.

He was accompanied by Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong, Senator Amos Wako, Senator candidate Okiya Omtatah and woman rep aspirant Susan Mang'eni.
