Kisumu Senator Anyang' Nyong'o has warned that people should not assume that President Uhuru Kenyatta will get many votes Central Kenya.
While speaking during a live interview with NTV's AMLive show, the senator said Uhuru may find it hard to get votes even in his own Central backyard since Kenyans were tired of graft in his government.
"I don't think the grip Uhuru had in Central Kenya is the same grip in this coming election. That should be interrogated carefully," he said.
"I think this corruption in government and political arrogance is going to cost him. People should also be given space to exercise their constitutional rights."
"This Constitution is now not only known to us. If you go to the rural areas and talk to people they have listened to what the Constitution entails and realised they have the powers to choose leaders they want."
