Photo/ the-star.co.keKilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo has said that efforts by President Uhuru Kenyatta to frustrate Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho have only helped to make him popular.Mazdayo s criticized the Jubilee government for the continuous humiliation of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Leader with the latest attack being on his education certificates.Joho, early this week, appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to record a statement after the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) said that his KCSE examination certificate was fake.KNEC last week stated that Joho was not among the students who sat for the Four Form exams at Serani Secondary School in 1992, reports that Joho has come out to counter saying he did his KCSE in 1993.The Mombasa Governor further released his certificate saying though he got D- in the exams he has built a better life for himself.Expressing his support for Joho, Madzayo said the few leaders who are pushing hard to silence Joho are popularizing him without their knowledge.“If Joho has admitted that he did not do well in his KCSE exam but he worked hard to be where he is today, what else do they want from him?” he said, as quoted by Star."Joho admitted he came from a poor background, meaning he did not enjoy the things a student needs to pass his exams. Because of Jubilee’s gimmicks, every person now wants to know who this Joho is and yearn to shake his hand,” he said.
