Siaya Senator James Orengo has said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recent actions show that he has sensed defeat.
This is after the Head of State warned the Judiciary not to assist National Super Alliance (NASA) sabotage the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking in Mtwapa grounds in Kilifi County alongside ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula and Stewards Madzayo (Kilifi), Orengo said that it is clear Uhuru and his team has panicked as the opposition intensifies its campaigns in different parts of the nation.
“If you want to know a leader has panicked, listen to what Uhuru said this morning (Sunday) by trying to intimidate the courts,” he said.
Wetangula, on his part, said that Jubilee did not win the last general elections, adding that the opposition has sealed all loopholes of rigging as we head to the August general elections.
“You are not above the law to attack and intimidate independent institutions just because they are not favouring you in their work,” said Wetang’ula.
The senator, who has hinted at contesting for Presidency in 2022 added: “We have sealed all loopholes by sending Orengo to court to fight for us,” Wetang’ula said.
The leaders toured Ganze, Gongoni, Watamu before joining Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga and Wiper Party Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s team.
