Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta has panicked ahead of the repeat presidential election.
Kilonzo Junior says that Uhuru’s frequent meetings with politicians at State House and his recent outburst on the Supreme Court ruling is a clear show that he is afraid of facing off with Raila Odinga.
Speaking during an interview on KTN News on Sunday, the Makueni Senator asked President Kenyatta to prepare for humiliating defeat.
The senator said that NASA is working day and night to seal all rigging loopholes.
“President Kenyatta and his troops are afraid of Raila Odinga and that is why they are allegedly luring every politician to their side,” he said during the interview.
The senator further alleged that Jubilee could be allegedly buying politicians in the opposition zones to weaken Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.
Kilonzo Junior said that NASA will not be weakened, adding that it has the numbers to send Uhuru home.
The Makueni senator asked President Kenyatta to cool down and prepare to hand over power on October 17.
The senator rubbished claims that Raila is afraid of facing Uhuru, saying that what NASA is pushing for is transparency in the fresh presidential poll.
“We don’t want to see similar mistakes that bungled the August 8 presidential election and that is why we are pushing for a cleanup at the IEBC,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Makueni senator has rubbished claims that Wiper party will be weakened following Hassan Omar exit as secretary general.
Kilonzo said that Wiper is still strong, adding that Omar had his own reasons to why he left the party.
Omar tendered his resignation as Wiper secretary general last eek.
The former Mombasa senator now claims that his leadership and political ambition was frustrated and undermined by NASA leader’s Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.
Omar who unsuccessfully contested for the Mombasa governor seat has filed a petition challenging Governor Hassan Joho’s re-election.
