President Uhuru Kenyatta will Monday morning officially start his journey to remain at State House.

The president will present his papers at City Hall  where he seeks clearance to vie for his second term in office.

His journey will start in Nairobi's Pipeline Estate in Embakasi and sweep through the Eastlands areas on his way to town.

Accompanied by his deputy William Ruto,  Uhuru will make stopovers at nine points along the route on Outering Road and Jogoo Road.

According to organisers of the convoy, the team will leave Pipeline bus station at 10am and make the first stop at the Donholm junction connecting Jogoo and Outering roads.

He will also stop at Madaraka, City Stadium, Muthurwa, Wakulima Market, the Railways roundabout before finally stopping at Kencom.

His itinerary shows he will appear at City Hall by 2pm.

He will then address supporters at the Comesa grounds, KICC.

“That will be just a meet-the-people tour because not everybody can fit at the KICC,” said Raphael Tuju, head of the secretariat managing the President’s campaign, said.

“After he is finished with handing in his papers, he will address a small crowd,” he added.
