President Kenyatta endured another torrid morning in Nyamira County where he had gone entice Gusii community to vote for Jubilee ahead of August polls.

Nyamira County is one of the regions earmarked by Jubilee campaign team that could shift from her traditional ODM party due to inroads made by Jubilee administration.

But at his stopover in Nyansiongo, Uhuru was jeered when he urged Gusii people to reelect him, with youths believed to be those of opposition ODM chanting slogans in solidarity with IDPs.

Education CS Fred Matiang’i who happens to be son of the region also had difficult moments in calming a crowd which had literally gotten out of control.

However, the situation was restored when Borabu parliamentary aspirant Patrick Osero took stage and urged locals to listen to leaders.

During his June tour to the region, Uhuru had given at least 400 million meant for IDPs, only locals to claim that the list of beneficiaries was cooked by local politicians.

The president abandoned his trip which was meant to end in North Mugirango constituency and flew to Kapsabet where he was scheduled to address another meeting.
