President Uhuru Kenyatta has called on former Meru Governor Peter Munya to withdraw a petition filed challenging the election of Kiraitu Murungi.

Munya wants Kiraitu’s win nullified.

Speaking during a campaign tour of Meru region, Kenyatta said Munya and Governor Kiraitu should settle their differences out of court.

During the rally, Munya did not announce whether he would drop the petition he filed on September 8 at the Meru High Court.

Munya, who vied on a PNU Party ticket, garnered 232,569 votes against Kiraitu who got 281,737.
