President Uhuru Kenyatta has accused NASA leader Raila Odinga of painting the country's in bad light during his Europe visit.
Speaking during a recent political rally, the Head of State claimed that the Opposition chief has been tainting the country's image abroad to win support from the international community.
Uhuru further cautioned foreign countries against intervening on the current political crisis, asserting that Kenya is a sovereign state governed by her own laws and the Constitution.
“Under our Constitution, there is no provision for foreign interference in the management of the affairs of our nation. Under our Constitution, it is only the sovereign people of Kenya who have the right to decide who their leaders will be,” he remarked.
He challenged the Opposition to submit itself to the electorate, noting that nobody can get power through unconstitutional means.
“There is no person, no military or country that can give the leadership of the nation to a person. The only one who can give that privilege is God through the people of Kenya,” he said.
Mr Odinga has been on the receiving end since his London trip, with the Jubilee wing claiming that the former Prime Minister is pursuing a coalition government.
