President Uhuru Kenyatta says he is ready to take on opposition leader Raila Odinga and warns that he won’t allow him to continue attacking senior officials in is government.

Arguably the two top most politicians, they will face each other for the second time in as many years as the battle for State House looms.

In his Taveta tour, Uhuru challenged Odinga to keep off Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and challenge him openly in elections.

“I am ready for him because I know he will still lose. He has no agenda for this nation and time has come for him to keep his path.

“He should face me without necessarily attacking government officials without substance. Time has come for him to bring the war to me,” said a visibly agitated Kenyatta.

During his rally in Kibra on Tuesday, Odinga accused Matiang’i of allegedly intimidating electoral body officials by summoning them in his office.
