President Uhuru Kenyatta has termed opposition leader Raila Odinga 'man of empty threats' and dared him to act on his 'endless' threats.
The two principals have re-ignited their rivalry with barely seven months to General elections scheduled this August.
On Tuesday, Odinga claimed that the government, through National Intelligence Service, was recruiting foreigners to vote in August polls.
The remarks did not go down well with the Head of state who accused Odinga of instilling unnecessary fears to Kenyans.
"I am tired this man who threatens the government everyday. He should as well act on these empty threats because I am confident that he has no substance," he said while in Kirinyaga.
Uhuru added: "Nobody is planning to rig elections. We are all moving around the country to persuade Kenyans to vote for us. Is that rigging really?"
According to Odinga, the NIS successfully impersonated as IEBC clerks and are targeting neighboring countries in the ongoing vote listing exercise.
