President Uhuru Kenyatta says he will not lose an election given his ‘proven’ development record in the past four years.
Kenyatta, who was cleared a fortnight ago, is facing yet another bruising battle from opposition leader Raila Odinga of NASA coalition.
And in his tour to Busia County on Wednesday, Uhuru ruled out possibilities of Odinga beating him by making reference to hotly contested 2013 elections.
“They were Prime Ministers, Vice Presidents and could not beat me in 2013 ,” said Uhuru in reference to Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi.
He added: “I am now in government and I don’t think they can beat me. They should have done that in 2013 but I still floored them.”
While Odinga served as Prime Minister in defunct grand coalition government, Mudavadi and Kalonzo also had a chance to serve as Vice Presidents.
Recently, Odinga accused IEBC of failing to tame Jubilee government over what he termed as ‘misusing’ of public resources in campaigns across the country.
