President Uhuru Kenyatta has yet again hit on his coastal critics saying that his administration has 'tried' to handle historical issues facing the region.
Uhuru has been under criticism from a section of coast leaders under the leadership of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, who accuses his administration of marginalization.
And on Wednesday, Uhuru said his government had tried to handle historical issues affecting the people of coast adding that he was on course to complete a number of projects.
"I hear some people saying that I have done nothing to improve the welfare of you people. I have settled a number of squatters and we even have operational roads," he said.
He added: " I am on the course to do my job in the next remaining months. We do not have to politicize everything all times."
During the event at Kwale County, Uhuru issued National identification cards to members of Makonde community whose origin is from Mozambique.
