President Uhuru Kenyatta has dismissed claims that he has ‘personal’ issues with his main challenger Raila Odinga ahead of August polls.
With just under a month to election, Uhuru and Odinga have put a spirited campaign to sway votes in their favour.
At Tharaka Nithi, Uhuru said his conflict with opposition was agenda based but accused the opposing team of trivializing issues.
“We are competing on issues based things and I have no issues with him. But the other side if always abusive without any substance,” he said.
“I want Kenyans to know that these elections will come and go but Kenya will remain strong and intact. Let us not charge the country just because of politics,” he added.
Kenyatta was consolidating Mt. Kenya East votes slightly a week after the opposition team traversed both Meru and Tharaka Nithi Counties.
Shockingly, Kenyatta yet against skipped endorsing Jubilee candidates given the previous resistance from a section of independent candidates.
