A fired up President Uhuru Kenyatta has vowed to destroy corruption as he focuses on stamping authority in his last term in office.
So far, at least 20 people have been remanded over corruption awaiting determination of their cases in Sh9 billion NYS saga.
At Mombasa on Thursday, Uhuru also called for lifestyle audit that will expose public servants who may have accumulated wealth through unscrupulous means.
"I swear to God corruption must end. I will ensure all cartels are jailed and there is no more room for looting," said a defiant Uhuru.
He added: "We shall launch lifestyle audit for all public servants where even myself I will account for my wealth. We must end this thing."
Since 2013, Uhuru's leadership has been eclipsed by mega corruption scams with NYS being among them.
In his partnership with opposition leader Raila Odinga, Uhuru has identified corruption as one of the vice his government will tackle.
