President Uhuru Kenyatta reiterates that he will have no business to cling in power should Kenyans deny him a reelection in August.

Uhuru, who is facing stiff competition from his main challenger Raila Odinga, was cleared by IEBC a fortnight ago to defend his seat on a Jubilee ticket.

And in his address to the nation on Tuesday at Eldoret, Uhuru urged his competitors to make a similar commitment for the sake of peace.

“I will have no business clinging in power should Kenyans demand change. We should respect democratic processes and I urge my competitors to do so.

“In 2002, I conceded defeat even before counting was over. Elections will come and go but Kenya will remain the same nation,” Uhuru said.

Although he didn’t attend an election conference in Nairobi, Uhuru urged political leaders to respect constitutional institutions putting more emphasis on IEBC.

But in Nairobi, opposition leader Raila Odinga demanded that IEBC revokes contract awarded to a Dubai based company for printing of ballot papers.
