President Uhuru Kenyatta has yet again reiterated his commitment to accept the verdict of people in August in case he loses.
In yet another epic battle in waiting, Kenyatta is facing fierce contest from his archrival and opposition Chief Raila Odinga in a typical rematch of 2013 polls.
Kenyatta had taken his campaigns to Kirinyaga County where he urged voters to evaluate his working performance in the last four years.
“I want to assure you that I will accept the verdict of Kenyans. I have no business to cling into power contrary to wishes of many Kenyans,’ Uhuru said.
“Politics will come and go and all we need is a smooth transition. However, I am confident that my performance will enable me get another chance to serve Kenyans,” he added.
He dismissed the opposition's NASA’s manifesto as mere rhetoric that could not help to spearhead development agenda in the country.
Recently, Siaya Senator James Orengo said Odinga would not commit himself to conceding defeat should Jubilee fail to honor free, fair and transparent elections.
