President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken a swipe at the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders saying they cannot be trusted with steer the country's economy forward.

Speaking when Jubilee took its campaigns in Machakos county on Tuesday, the President mocked the Opposition leaders for saying they will change the country if elected in the August 8 polls.

"They are talking about change, but what change are they talking about which they could not bring in all the years they were in government? They have a history of delivering nothing," he said as quoted by the Star.

The Head of State added: "They only squabble, argue, and are ineffective."

The Jubilee leader warned members of the Kamba community against following the Opposition blindly saying NASA is just a group of individuals known for the selfish pursuit of power.

He observed that their plan to change the constitution is to give jobs to five Opposition chiefs, saying that would put a huge burden to the taxpayer.

"The biggest thing they are offering to Kenyans is to change the constitution and this will cost Kenya at least Sh20 billion," Uhuru said.

The President was accompanied by Deputy President William Ruto, Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko and a number of MPs and MCAs from the area.
