Waiguru has continued to exude confidence that she will trounce Karua in August with a huge margin.
The entry of Karua and Waiguru in the Kirinyaga has complicated matters for Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto. Karua has affirmed that she will rally the electorate behind President Kenyatta to retain his post when that time comes.
On the other hand, Waiguru is ready to pitch tents in different parts of Kirinyaga to rally the electorate behind the duo. On Friday, Waiguru met Deputy President William Ruto in Karen and he (Ruto) agree to support her beat Karua.
The move, however, is likely to jeopardize the re-election after Karua also agreed to back them for another term in office. Waiguru has affirmed that she is not scared by parties backing UhuRuto’s re-election.
“Let’s be clear. Various parties including Narc-Kenya endorsed Uhuru candidature for President. This should not be misconstrued to mean that the President has endorsed any other candidates other than those who are of his party where he himself is the chairman which is Jubilee Party,” she said, as Nation quoted.
