Kakamega senator, Boni Khalwale has reported President Uhuru Kenyatta at Kakamega police station for allegedly threatening him.
The president during a Jubilee campaign rally in Kakamega, Saturday, reportedly said they would discipline Khalwale for insulting Jubilee.
"You have leaders who come here pretending to be heroes but what they do is insult others instead of selling their policies to the voters...tutamnyorosha (We will discipline him)," said Uhuru as quoted by the Star.
However, this did not go well with the bullfighter who is now claiming his life is in danger after Uhuru’s ‘threats’.
The senator revealed via twitter, Sunday, that he had recorded a statement with police over Kenyatta’s remarks.
"I've this morning recorded a statement at Kakamega Police Station concerning Uhuru's threats against me," said Khalwale.
Confirming this, regional police commander Moses Ombati said action will be taken against the president if they receive more details on the claims.
"He was here in the morning with the allegations but we have just recorded him. We are waiting for more evidence before taking any action," he said.
