Hundreds of Canadians held peaceful protests in the streets of Toronto over deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna by Kenyan authorities.

Under unclear circumstances, despite court orders, the government failed to produced the opposition activist, instead, deported him on allegations he is an alien.

"I have never renounced my Kenyan citizenship and I will never do that.I am a citizen by birth and that cannot be taken away," he said, even as authorities seized his passsports.

And moments before landing in Canada, hundreds of locals accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of practicing dictatorship by limiting civil rights.

They warned of a possible revolution if the antics allegedly used by government on perceived critics are not changed.

"Kenya is a democracy and Uhuru should just resign if he cannot practice constitutionalism. It is quite sad that he is turning to be a benevolent dictator," said Vincent Okemwa.

On arrival, Miguna insisted that Uhuru will be 'defeated' adding that he will go 'down faster than he thought'.
