[Photo| the-star]President Uhuru Kenyatta has invited his political rival opposition leader Raila Odinga to his inauguration party on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.The swearing-in ceremony will be held at at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.Speaking to journalists at Kasarani on Friday, the chairman of the 22-member Assumption of Office of the President Committee Joseph Kinyua said the other six presidential candidates who had contested with Uhuru in the annulled August 8 poll, and in the repeat October 26 election were also invited. “The seven other presidential candidates and their running mates in the last presidential election have been invited for the ceremony,” Kinyua said. The six candidates include Abduba Dida, Ekuru Aukot, Japheth Kaluyu, Joseph Nyagah, Cyrus Jirongo and Michael Wainaina.The former prime minister withdrew from the October race and has maintained Uhuru's election is not legitimate.
Whether Raila will honour Kenyatta's invitation is something that Kenyans are waiting to see.
