Vihiga Senator George Khaniri has hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto over attempts to reignite the ICC debate.
The legislator cited the Head of State's remarks during his recent tour of Kakamega County, where the presidency claimed that the Opposition could revive their ICC cases should they win the August polls.
But in an interview with The Star on Thursday, Khaniri rubbished Uhuru's assertions, observing that it was a clear indication that Jubilee has run out of ideas and could clutch on anything to be reelected.
“They tried to resurrect the ICC debate and it failed. They are now hanging on NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga’s ‘caution’ to Maasais not to sell their land,” he said.
He further accused the Jubilee adminstration of being intolerant to critics.
“He started with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and now Khalwale. Kenyans are not fools and can differentiate between real concerns and propaganda. The die is already cast for Jubilee,” he stated.
